The Branch was originally formed in the Northumberland village of Ellington for supporters of Sunderland AFC but is now based in Ashington and not only covers the Ellington and Ashington areas but also includes Morpeth, Amble, Bedlington, Stakeford, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Lynemouth as well as many other places.  In fact there is no boundary to becoming a member of our branch as we have members stretching from as far afield as London in the south to Galashiels in the Scottish Borders.

Our Articles and News page contains features and snippets of information about Sunderland AFC and the Ellington Branch, and is updated regularly.

You can also leave any comments you feel like making about either Sunderland AFC or the Ellington Branch.  You can find the comments made by others immediately below the form.

We hold our meetings on the third Wednesday of the month at 7-30pm in The Half Moon, Stakeford and all are welcome.  Our membership is truly thriving and grows year on year.  We now have over 250 members with more joining by the week.  Many of the current members have their grandfathers and their families to thank for the red and white blood that courses through their veins, travelling into Northumberland from the County Durham coalfields in search for work.

Two coaches travel to the Stadium of Light for every home game and we also take coaches to many away matches too.
